the last prayer Eli says...from the movie "The book of Eli"

"Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me the strength and the conviction to complete the task you entrusted to me. Thank you for guiding me straight and true through the many obstacles in my path. And for keeping me resolute when all around seemed lost. Thank you for your protection and your many signs along the way. Thank you for any good that I may have done, I'm so sorry about the bad. Thank you for the friend I made. Please watch over her as you watched over me. Thank you for finally allowing me to rest. I'm so very tired, but I go now to my rest at peace. I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith."

I think God is always speaking to the world and he will use any means to reach the hearts of the lost...even a "non christian" movie...I know i felt a pull on my heart as I watched the book of Eli...even though their were some rough/violent scenes in the movie and some bad language I saw the underlining message....dont walk away from God as you live out your life in this present evil world...dont quit...dont give up....The last scene of the movie has Eli saying a prayer....May this prayer ring true for all of Gods children....and may all of Gods children who have compromised and walked away from God find the Holy Spirits conviction, and return their hearts to the Lord....Lord Jesus help us all to fight the good fight and finish the race.

Revelation 2
To the church in Ephesus
1"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. 5Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
